Estonian Needs-based study allowances
Estonian government and universities have initiated various scholarship schemes in order to support international students who are interested in studying at Estonia. Below is Needs-based study allowances for all students:
The aim of needs-based study allowance (hereinafter study allowance) is to provide assistance to students, whose households are unable to support them, motivate them to study full time and successfully and complete a curriculum during nominal period of study..
Amount: (Bachelors & Masters €220-€75, Doctoral €422)
Applications can be submitted during the whole semester, not only for a month as so far. The allowance will be paid starting from the month of submission of the application, therefore it is recommended to submit the application in the first month of the semester – in September or in February.
Applying for study allowance:
An application for study allowance can be submitted in the state portal www.eesti.ee by a student who has Student Residence Permit and already opened an Estonian Bank account.
